Hunza Diet Bread

3/4 C. (177.5 ml) unbleached all purpose white flour

1 teasp. (4.9 ml) baking powder

1 C. (236.6 ml) whole dates, pitted and chopped

1 C. (236.6 ml) pecans, chopped

3 eggs, well beaten

1/4 C. (59.2 ml) water

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (176.6 C). Mix flour and baking powder with a whisk or fork. In a separate bowl, mix water and eggs and whisk or beat until foamy. Combine dry and wet ingredients. Add chopped dates and pecans. Stir thoroughly. Pour batter into lightly greased 4x8x3 inch pan. Bake in preheated oven for 35 min. Remove from pan and cool.

 

Bread may be toasted and buttered or eaten plain. Makes one loaf.

 

P.S. Use this bread in place of up to 2 meals. It is very filling and nutritious.
